Family Therapy PLLC

Ludivina Acevedo, LMFT
Therapist, Owner

  • My therapeutic philosophy revolves around adopting a person-centered and strengths-based approach. By collaborating with you, we work together to find what is best for your unique journey. I have the tools to guide you, but you are ultimately the expert in your own life. My style is warm, curious, engaging, and creative, and I strive to connect with my clients as one human being to another, welcoming and connecting through humor and authenticity.

I have been trained in a variety of evidence-based approaches and come from a systemic perspective, understanding that every part of your life is interconnected. My interventions are tailored to your specific needs.

Together, we will explore your strengths, values, navigate challenges, and work towards a life where you can cultivate joy and thrive. I look forward to walking alongside you on this journey of healing and growth.

  • I work collaboratively with children, teens, Gen Z, and parents, including Latinx individuals. I can provide therapy in Spanish if needed.

I focus on supporting them by addressing misconceptions about ADHD and autism and embracing neurodiversity through a strengths-based approach. I also collaborate with students and parents to develop effective school accommodation plans for various diagnoses. I can assist parents in screening for ADHD and autism and provide referrals for official diagnoses when needed.

My work includes uncovering the roots of different behaviors and understanding where they come from, whether due to trauma, life stressors, a diagnosis, environmental factors, or other influences.

I also support emotional regulation by addressing the nervous system and understanding sensory needs.

I offer compassionate help for those deconstructing or affected by harmful religious beliefs.

I assist highly sensitive individuals and empaths in navigating their emotions and giftedness.
